Introduction
Because we're in a gold rush, selling shovels is the best way to earn money. I'm not trying to diss or belittle anyone doing this. Nvidia has been doing this for the past couple of years. But in so many different starter kit / boilerplate options out there, it's quite hard to differentiate what's a bang for the buck, because most of them offer shit for a ridiculous amount of money that you'll pay. Since I'm offering a free starter kit, there might be some things that you don't like, missing or idk; the kit itself is barebones.
The starter kits that I am going to suggest to you are all paid alternatives. I am not paid to advertise, or affiliated with the starter kits below. It's just that I resonate with the goal of their projects, so I am listing them down here.
List of alternatives
Makerkit https://makerkit.dev/
I found Makerkit while I was building out my starter kit, it shares the same philosophy as my starter kit, simple but scalable. Its monorepo has been set up using Turborepo and the UI components are also been made as a component library for your apps to share. One of the key differences between my starter kit and Makerkit, besides the pricing (ty capt obvious), is my choice of tooling. The tools that I picked are geared toward the broke boys, so most of them are free or have free plans. Just check out the link above and see it with your own eyes. For me the price of 299 USD is justified, I can see the developer https://x.com/gc_psk has crunched out the time and effort into developing that product.
